As part of its 2020-2025 Environmental Plan, Beau-Rivage draws up an annual report on the measures taken in favour of the environment and the results obtained.

In 2022, Beau-Rivage continued its progress towards a more responsible way of operating, notably by aiming for carbon neutrality from 2023 but also by increasing waste recycling by 80%. Since 2019, 90% of disposable plastic has been eliminated or replaced. For example, room keys are now made of wood. On a daily basis, numerous actions are carried out, such as lowering the temperature of the offices in winter, recycling customer soaps and regular training to raise employee awareness of concrete measures in favour of the environment and climate protection. In this sense, the company also encourages them to make the choice of a more sustainable mobility through a contribution to their public transport subscriptions. At the same time, the hotel continues to contribute with its guests to the "Cause We Care" initiative, which finances reforestation programmes in Nicaragua. Finally, among the new features for 2022, Beau-Rivage has initiated, in partnership with SIG and RVM, the creation of a recycling channel for Tetra Pak packaging, which did not exist until now.

Thanks to our daily commitment to the environment, we are proud to be ISO 14001 certified. We have also obtained the "Swisstainable" label from Switzerland Tourism (level III). The certifications we have are complete and recognized. Confirming the effectiveness of our environmental management system, they cover all dimensions of sustainability and are subject to regular external audits.

With its exceptional history, Beau-Rivage has always looked to the future and is committed to being a leader in sustainable development. Since 2009, we have been fully engaged in social, economic and environmental development.​

​​We are proud to be a partner of myclimate "Cause we care", an initiative for climate protection and sustainable tourism. As part of this initiative, our guests have the opportunity to voluntarily offset the CO2 emissions generated by their stay. At the same time, Beau-Rivage doubles these contributions and invests them in municipal reforestation in Nicaragua and in its own sustainability through its 2020-2025 environmental plan.

Chef Mathieu Croze is above all driven by passion for fine seasonal ingredients he develops hand in hand with local artisans, supporting our terroir and ensuring exclusive access to exceptional produce for guests of Le Chat-Botté.​

The Chef is not only expert in immersing you in his top-flight culinary creations, it is also his role to forge ties and meaning with the artisans who create true taste. The taste of authenticity, simplicity and knowledge itself, which is inseparable from eating well. This is the philosophy found at Le Chat-Botté, which offers 65% locally sourced products at its table.

Since 2018, Beau-Rivage Genève has been using the GeniLac solution for its air conditioning system. GeniLac is the largest ecological thermal network in Geneva, an innovative, 100% renewable solution that uses lake water for cooling. The quantitative benefits are: 80% reduction in CO2 emissions, no more use of greenhouse gas refrigerants, 80% reduction in electricity consumption and 10% reduction in water consumption for the cooling systems.​

ISO 14001 certified for more than 10 years, Beau-Rivage has put in place an ambitious environmental plan for 2025.

Sorting of waste and development of recycling are among the main initiatives implemented, with the target of reaching 76% in 2020. ​

The goal for 2025 is to reach 85% of waste recycling.

Beau-Rivage is partnering with the Korean heritage of Genesis Cars to offer customers driving experiences of rare elegance.

As part of the brand's vision for a sustainable future, Genesis launched three electric vehicles in 2022 and will equip all new vehicles with a fully electric drivetrain from 2025. By 2035, Genesis aims to achieve its net zero CO2 emissions target.
